FURNACES Requirements: • Eligibility for furnace and single package vertical unit measures is based on customer having both an eligible electric and natural gas or propane provider. • Furnaces and single package vertical unit must meet the minimum efficiency requirements listed and be a sealed combustion unit. Efficiency ratings will be verified using the AHRI database ( ahridirectory.org ). • Furnaces and single package vertical units must have a single speed, multi-speed, or variable speed electronically communicated motor (ECM). Permanent split capacitor (PSC) motors are not eligible. Air handlers with an ECM are not eligible. • Provide a manufacturer’s specification sheet to document the required features. • Provide input capacity of furnace or single package vertical units (in MBh) in Section 7 on the Rebate Application. • Furnaces must have a multi-stage burner and have at least two firing stages. • Furnaces listed on the Focus on Energy residential furnace qualified products list does not guarantee the furnace has all features required for agribusiness rebates. DIRECT-FIRED MAKE-UP AIR UNIT (MAU) Requirements: • Rebate is available for upgrading from (or installing instead of) indirect-fired make-up air units or rooftop units which are approximately 80% efficient. • Replacement of electric or hydronically heated make-up air is not eligible. • Replacement of a direct-fired unit with a new direct-fired unit is only eligible if the new unit is a variable air volume unit (VAV) replacing a constant air volume (CAV) unit. • Replacement of a VAV make-up air unit is not eligible.
• Direct-fired MAU must serve an occupied space for at least 500 hours per year. • VAV make-up air units (H10030 and H10445) are not eligible for VFD rebates. Application Measure Description
