HORTICULTURAL LIGHTING GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: • Single tier indoor farms and supplemented greenhouses are eligible for rebates. Multi-tier farming may use the General Wattage Reduction measure for retrofit applications or custom incentives for new construction. • Single tier indoor farm: An indoor farming facility, such as a warehouse or other building, with only one layer of plants where there is no significant source of light besides electric lighting fixtures. • Supplemented greenhouse: Greenhouse using electric lighting to extend the hours of daylight, increase low levels of sunlight on cloudy days, or disrupt periods of darkness to alter plant growth. • New fixtures must be DLC listed in the Horticultural Lighting category or meet the following requirements: • Photosynthetic Photon Efficacy (PPE) ≥ 2.5 µmol/J. • Minimum warranty of five years. • Appropriate horticultural lighting designation by OSHA Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories or Safety Compliance and Consulting Corporation.
