COMPRESSED AIR AND VACUUM SYSTEM HEAT RECOVERY Requirements: • This rebate is for the installation of a new heat recovery system where one did not exist previously. • Heat recovery system must include automatic controls to switch from winter to summer operation. Systems with only manual damper controls are not eligible. • Replacing an existing heat recovery system or upgrading an existing heat recovery system from manual to automatic controls does not qualify. • The project must result in an estimated net reduction of BTUs consumed in the facility to be eligible. • Rebate is limited to 50% of the project cost, including equipment and external labor (internal labor eligible for schools and government customers). COMPRESSED AIR LOAD SHIFTING Requirements: • Pre-approval is recommended before you start your project to confirm eligibility. • Only replacement of inappropriate use of compressed air (e.g., blow off, cooling, air motors, etc.) with a blower or electric motor is eligible. • Only for existing compressed air systems. • Inappropriate use must have an annual runtime of at least 2,000 hours. • Rebate will be calculated as follows: (Compressed Air hp for the inappropriate use - hp for the replacement technology) x rebate rate per hp from table below. • Rebate is limited to 50% of the project cost, including equipment and external labor (internal labor eligible for schools and government customers).
