NO AIR-LOSS CONDENSATE DRAINS Requirements: • Must be used in systems with load/no-load, variable speed, variable displacement, or centrifugal compressors. • Load/no-load system must have adequate storage for drains to be eligible. • Manual drains, lever-operated mechanical drains, or solenoid drains are not eligible for rebates. • The replacement drain must be “no air-loss,” meaning it must continuously measure the presence of condensate, purge it only when necessary, and only long enough to prevent the unintentional purging of compressed air. • If no air-loss condensate drain is integral to another piece of equipment (i.e., is part of the air compressor, air dryer, mist eliminator, etc.), provide a manufacturer’s specification sheet to confirm. COMPRESSED AIR MIST ELIMINATORS Requirements: • The mist eliminator must have an initial pressure drop of 1 psig or less. • For existing buildings, the mist eliminator air filter must replace a standard coalescing filter. • For new construction, a mist eliminator air filter must be installed instead of a standard coalescing filter. COMPRESSED AIR STORAGE Requirements:
• Compressed air storage is only available for air compressors with load/no load and modulating controls with blowdown. It is intended for storage used at the air compressor plant level, not for distributed storage serving only a portion of the facility. • The existing system must have ≤ 1 gal/CFM of storage and the upgraded system must have ≥ 3 gal/CFM of storage to qualify. • The additional storage can be added on the dry side (after air dryer) or wet side (before air dryer). Application Measure Description Code Rebate Unit Retrofit Compressed Air Storage, Increase from ≤ 1 Gal/CFM to ≥ 3 Gal/CFM PS5444* $35 hp New Construction Compressed Air Storage, ≥ 3 Gal/CFM N-PS5444* $35 hp *Complete Table E on the Supplemental Data Sheet.
