ELECTRONICALLY COMMUTATED MOTOR (ECM) HVAC FAN MOTORS Common Area Requirements: • This rebate is for the installation of an ECM ≤1 hp on air handling equipment such as exhaust fans, fan coil units, fan powered VAV boxes, unit heaters, and cabinet heaters. • Furnaces with ECM and single package vertical units with ECM are eligible if instant discount has not already been provided. • New motors may be an upgrade or replace either shaded pole or permanent split capacitor motors. Replacement of an existing ECM does not qualify. • A manufacturer specification sheet that includes motor hp must be provided. • Rebate is available for common areas only. Individual Apartment/Condo Requirements: • Must replace a permanent split capacitor (PSC) blower motor in an existing furnace or air handler. Furnace/air handler must be the unit’s heating system. • Existing furnace must have an annual fuel utilization efficiency (AFUE) of 90% or greater. • Be sure to check our pre-qualified equipment list.
