REFRIGERATION HEAT RECOVERY (RHR) UNIT Requirements: • Include the number of milking cows in Section 6 on the application. • RHR unit must be used to extract waste heat from the dairy's milk refrigeration system in order to preheat water to serve the dairy's water heater unit.

• Water heater to supply hot water for dairy milk house use only (i.e. pipeline/bulk tank washings, other milking related cleaning needs). • Thermal efficiency must be 90% or greater (as rated by AHRI). Uniform Energy Factor must be 0.90 or greater for residential-type water heaters. • Redundant or back-up units do not qualify. • Make, model number and size (gallons) must be included on the invoice.
